Feel Better Cotton

Enhancing the hand-feel of lower-grade cotton.

Currently, lower-grade (short-staple) cotton has a range of issues which garner negative feedback from consumers. We are looking for a technology that can be applied at the fiber/yarn level or post-knitting to enhance the hand-feel (handle) of short-staple cotton to a level that is comparable to long-staple (high-grade) cotton. The treated product should have a soft hand-feel and surface texture (which does not deteriorate after 25 washes), superior pilling resistance, and improved shape retention after washing. The proposed technology should be scalable to bulk production.

    MAS Innovation (Private) Limited ("Twinery") is part of the MAS Holdings Group of companies ("MAS Holdings") and we may need to disseminate the information you submit with other parts of MAS Holdings to evaluate your proposal. Therefore, you agree that we may share the information that you submit with all companies at MAS Holdings. Twinery is not liable for the consequences of the subsequent disclosure of the information you share with us.

    Decision not to pursue
    Although we aim to respond to every submission, Twinery has no obligation to respond to your submission or to provide you with detailed feedback on if and why we are not taking your solution forward.

    Warranties
    By your submission, you warrant that you have the legal right to disclose the information contained in your submission. You warrant that this submission does not breach any contract or obligation between you and a third party and the possession or use of the information by us does not infringe in any third party's intellectual property rights, and does not breach any contract or obligation between you and a third party. You agree that you shall indemnify us against any resulting losses if this is not the case.

    Independent Development
    You understand that various companies within MAS Holdings may already be independently working on the solution covered by your submission. You agree that submission shall not be creating any restriction on such independent development.

    General
    You agree that no contractual obligation or working relationship is being created between yourself and Twinery by your submission of information. We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. These terms and conditions shall be covered by Sri Lankan laws and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of Sri Lankan courts.

    Further discussion
    If Twinery is interested in further discussion about your submission and we decide that we require further information of a confidential nature, you would be required to enter into a Non-Disclosure Agreement in the format provided below.
