Women tend to be uncomfortable and do not have complete peace of mind when they swim or otherwise use their swimsuits when on their period. While contraceptives and tampons are used to a certain extent by women to solve this problem, they are not an acceptable solution to most. Some swimmers, typically younger or in certain geographies, would not use contraceptives and tampons at all. While tampons tend to be secure enough, women are often worried about the possibility of leakage and need to be assured of extra security. We are looking for a solution to this problem in the form of swimwear that is able to prevent leakage of menstrual blood into a pool and offer security to the user, while also combating odour. This potential solution should ideally also be of use to women undergoing bladder leakage during and after pregnancy, while in a swimming pool.
